The Inside Outside House

Whilst working with Penarth Architects firm Loyn & Co. Glen was the lead designer for this RIBA Stirling prize nominee house for two Artists. Sitting, buried into the slope of the land, overlooking the Wye Valley in the Forest Of Dean, this concrete ECO house has won multiple design awards.

The key goal was to minimise any visual as well as environmental impact on the surroundings. To achieve this, in part, the structure was ‘buried’, with the North field wrapping onto the flat roof, with exterior courtyard punctuating the fabric, from inside the spaces.
